About The Position

The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing service projects, customer relationships, and account performance. This role supports the planning, execution, budgeting, staffing, and delivery of HVAC-related service work while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with customer expectations and company objectives. The Service Manager will contribute to both strategic compliance initiatives and day-to-day decision-making, helping the organization continue to innovate within the industry.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED with 12+ years of experience in the HVAC Trade OR Associate's Degree with 10+ years of experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects, budgets, schedules, field personnel, and customer-facing service operations.
  • Experience developing professional documents such as proposals, statements of work, staffing plans, past performance narratives, and management plans.
  • Strong computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with a wide range of stakeholders in person, by phone, and in writing.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills with the ability to perform well under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work independently to resolve practical problems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

  • Occasional travel may be required to meet with regulatory agencies, attend industry events, or conduct on-site compliance audits.

Responsibilities

  • Manage service projects, customer relationships, and assigned accounts from planning through completion.
  • Develop project scopes, estimates, budgets, proposals, and schedules.
  • Plan, direct, and support field personnel to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
  • Conduct jobsite walks to assess progress, identify issues, and maintain alignment with project requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain manpower forecasts based on project budgets, schedules, and customer needs.
  • Partner with customers on design considerations, product selection, and implementation strategies.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and contributing to proposals.
  • Monitor project financial performance, including collections, budget adherence, and account status.
  • Prepare professional written materials, including responses to statements of work, staffing plans, past performance sections, and management plans.
  • Contribute to strategic compliance initiatives and day-to-day operational decisions that support innovation and service excellence.
