About The Position

Alpha Baking Company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Payroll Manager to support the company’s continued growth and operational excellence. The Payroll Manager oversees end-to-end payroll processes for employees in a unionized manufacturing environment, using UKG products to streamline operations and improve efficiency. The role also focuses on process improvement, documentation management, compliance with collective bargaining agreements and applicable regulations, and payroll reporting for management and regulatory purposes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Payroll Manager in a manufacturing environment with multiple unions.
• Technical proficiency with the UKG Pro and Workforce Management (Dimensions) suite of products.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations in a unionized setting.
• Expertise in process improvement and documentation.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processes, including data entry, validation, and processing for employees in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll disbursements in compliance with legal and contractual requirements.
• Use the UKG suite of products to streamline payroll operations and enhance efficiency.
• Stay updated on UKG product features and functionalities and implement them to improve payroll processes.
• Identify payroll-cycle process improvements and implement solutions to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and eliminate bottlenecks.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of payroll processes, policies, and procedures, keeping it current and compliant with relevant regulations.
• Ensure payroll-related compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
• Monitor legislative changes and industry best practices related to payroll and ensure compliance.
• Generate and analyze payroll reports for management and regulatory purposes.
