About The Position

Beacon Communications is seeking a Payroll & HR Coordinator to support payroll and HR functions companywide, primarily near their CA locations. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with various regulations, managing payroll processes for both W-2 and Union employees, and supporting HR operations. The annual salary range for this position is between $68,000 - $75,000, commensurate with education, experience, and other factors.

  • Degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years directly related experience in human resources and/or payroll
  • 2+ years of Certified Payroll experience
  • Must maintain a clear background check in order to satisfy customer jobsite badging requirements.
  • Must be willing to submit to all vaccinations and screening tests required for customer jobsite badging protocol.
  • Consistent, reliable, and timely attendance
  • Maintain a clear drug and alcohol screening protocol.

Nice To Haves

  • Union experience a plus
  • Experience with Union Payroll preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support payroll for both W-2 and Union employees, including certified payroll reporting for public works projects.
  • Manage and submit Certified Payroll reports accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with prevailing wage and public works requirements.
  • Prepare reports through LCP Tracker and other reporting systems.
  • Support regulatory reporting, including payroll audits and tax documentation.
  • Maintain organized payroll records for compliance and retention.
  • Assist with union payroll reporting and OCIP reporting.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies with accuracy and urgency.
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and the onboarding process.
  • Ensure company procedures comply with employment regulations.
  • Maintain I-9 records and other state and federal reporting requirements.
  • Administer benefits, including open enrollment, benefit billing reconciliations, and answering employee questions.
  • Monitor and process promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Report on HR-related data.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data using multiple systems.
  • Ensure FMLA/ADA/multi-state leave compliance.
  • Manage employee relations.
  • Assist in disciplinary actions and performance management.
  • Work closely with the HR Generalist and other team members.
  • Provide on-site HR presence for employee questions.
  • Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.
