About The Position

The Payroll Data Coordinator supports accurate and timely payroll operations while contributing to improvements in reporting, variable-compensation calculations, and system functionality. The role focuses on data analysis and process improvement, including working with large datasets, building advanced Workday expertise, and identifying opportunities to streamline work through technology and automation. This is an in-office position in Hillsboro, Oregon, scheduled Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with annual compensation of $50,000–$55,000.

Requirements

• Experience in payroll, accounting, finance, HR, reporting, or another data-focused role.
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and complex formulas.
• Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage recurring deadlines and handle confidential information.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Workday, Power Query, SQL, Python, VBA, Power Automate, or other automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Support accurate and timely payroll processing, adjustments, and reconciliations.
• Calculate and validate bonuses, commissions, and other variable compensation.
• Build and maintain reports using advanced Excel functions, PivotTables, and Power Query.
• Analyze large datasets to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
• Partner with Payroll and HRIS teams to troubleshoot issues and improve Workday functionality.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve existing processes.
