About The Position

The Payroll Coordinator is an integral part of the finance team that impacts the OSUMC growing organization. This position has the sole responsibility for all payroll related activities necessary to process four payrolls for over a thousand employees. It also produces and analyzes time and pay data as part of the financial reporting team.

Requirements

  • Complex payroll, computational, accounting and clerical duties
  • Expertise in the timekeeping system

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining payroll related records
  • Filing tax and voluntary deduction reports
  • Processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments
  • Preparing accounting transactions and documents
  • Documenting and updating procedures
  • Preparing special reports for management
  • Coordinating audits for Workers Compensation, Medicare and other third party payers
  • Educating and guiding managers, supervisors and timekeepers concerning timekeeping procedures and adjustments
