About The Position

An experienced administrative professional working at the direction of the Compensation and Benefits Director, the Payroll & Benefits (P&B) Coordinator will be primarily responsible for supporting payroll and benefits administration, including timekeeping, payroll, health benefits, and workers' compensation. With conversational fluency in English and Spanish, the P&B Coordinator will provide exceptional customer service and serve as the main point of contact for employees with routine questions; must be able to understand and explain to others the basic principles of timekeeping and payroll obligations, benefits enrollment and eligibility, workers' compensation procedures, and other relevant policies. A quick learner and proficient with MS programs, especially Excel, the P&B Coordinator will also be responsible for day-to-day clerical tasks such as copying and scanning documents and handling electronic filing. The P&B Coordinator will contribute to the overall success of the Payroll and Human Resources divisions, embracing teamwork, practicing complete discretion, and reliably safeguarding confidential information.

Requirements

  • Bi-lingual fluency in English and Spanish required, able to accurately translate from one language to the other both orally and in writing to a degree appropriate for documents with legal ramifications.
  • High school diploma required.
  • At least 3-5 years of prior related payroll or human resources experience, or 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a similar luxury environment.
  • Strong Math skills and great attention to detail.
  • A service-oriented personality; positive attitude, approachable and outgoing without being overbearing, possessing a pleasant and caring manner with everyone.
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally with all stakeholders.
  • Able to follow oral and written instructions and to memorize necessary information.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills particularly Excel; facility with Word, PowerPoint; able to learn new programs quickly and easily.
  • A team player able to work well with others.
  • Exceptional grooming habits, reliably presenting in clean professional business attire.
  • Strong work ethic; punctual and reliable.
  • Able to work efficiently and effectively with minimum supervision.
  • Comfortable with frequent interruptions.
  • Able to juggle multiple competing priorities and meet deadlines.
