Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll administration experience.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, payroll taxes, deductions, compliance, and reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Experience processing payroll for multiple companies.

Responsibilities

  • Process, maintain, and review payroll for multiple companies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including wages, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Audit and reconcile payroll data, timekeeping records, and employee pay information.
  • Process payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, and compensation adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliation, and year-end payroll activities.
  • Serve as the primary contact for payroll system administration, support, and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate employee benefit enrollment, changes, and open enrollment activities.
  • Act as the primary liaison with insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators.
  • Conduct employee benefit education and communication sessions.
  • Reconcile benefit deductions and carrier invoices.
  • Coordinate unemployment claims, workers' compensation claims, and disability programs.
  • Support compliance activities related to employee benefit plans.
  • Maintain payroll and benefits records with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with annual reporting requirements, including W-2/W-3 reconciliation, 1095 review, retirement plan reporting, workers' compensation audits, and other compliance-related reporting.
  • Support OSHA recordkeeping and annual OSHA reporting requirements.
  • Research, analyze, and resolve payroll, benefits, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and benefit orientation activities.
  • Prepare and process benefit-related employee packets, including life event changes, disability, leave of absence, and separation documentation.
  • Support Northern National Trucking administrative functions, including ELD-to-timecard reconciliation and other DOT-related compliance activities.
