This is a full-time, temporary position for a 3-month assignment, requiring flexibility for extended hours on Tuesdays. The role is remote and based in Canada, with a wage of $55,000 - $65,000 based on experience. The primary responsibility is to compile and audit employee time and payroll data for weekly payroll cycles, and to provide timely responses to payroll-related queries. The position involves processing weekly payrolls, balancing and reconciling imported payroll data, verifying accuracy and compliance of payroll data, communicating discrepancies, adhering to internal payroll controls and audit processes, and assisting managers, employees, HR, and locations with payroll inquiries. The role also includes performing payroll output processes, assisting with special projects, and backing up other payroll cycles as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong multitasking abilities, problem-solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with French being a preferred asset. A high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) at an intermediate level and strong knowledge of payroll practices at an intermediate level are required. Working knowledge of Workday at a beginner level is preferred.
