About The Position

We are seeking a payroll administrator who is highly motivated, independent but also a team player, looking to take on new challenges. Reporting directly to the payroll manager, the ideal candidate will be able to process full cycle payroll for 180+ employees, be savvy in payroll laws of multiple states and can resolve complex payroll matters. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of not only payroll processing accomplishments, but also be innovative, analytical with a firm and concise attention to detail for when special projects are assigned. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Basic working knowledge of common payroll laws and practices for multiples states
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, mathematics, or a related field desired and/or equivalent experience of 5+ years processing payroll.
  • Experience using Paylocity, ADP WorkForce Now (required) and SAGE X3 (preferred)
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with external departments and with individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Excellent oral, written communication and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient in Excel and report writing.
  • Light accounting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Process multi state, bi-weekly and 9/80 schedule US payroll
  • Maintain and updates payroll information
  • Accurate data entry of information into the payroll system
  • Reconcile non-exempt employees’ timecards
  • Track and reconcile PTO and sick balances
  • Answer payroll inquiries from employees
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies that may arise.
  • Enters Payroll Journal Entries into SAGE X3
  • Reconciles benefit invoices for accuracy
  • Comprehensive knowledge of I-9 process, rules and regulations
