About The Position

Our client, a manufacturing facility in Nanuet, NY is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their team. The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for processing weekly payroll, maintaining accurate payroll and employee data, preparing payroll-related reports, and coordinating with internal team members and external payroll partners. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, confidential, and comfortable working with payroll systems, spreadsheets, and sensitive employee information.

Requirements

  • Payroll processing experience required.
  • Prior experience processing weekly payroll strongly preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills, including Excel and data analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees, managers, HR team members, and external vendors.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic accounting knowledge is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Review timekeeping, payroll changes, deductions, adjustments, and related payroll data for accuracy.
  • Prepare payroll reports, data analysis, and other ad hoc reporting as needed.
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records and personnel-related documentation.
  • Provide payroll-related support to employees and managers, including responding to questions regarding pay, deductions, time records, and payroll procedures.
  • Coordinate with payroll vendors and other external partners as needed.
  • Support compliance with applicable payroll practices, employment regulations, and internal policies.
  • Assist with benefits-related payroll deductions and related employee data updates.
  • Support compensation-related data entry, reporting, and salary-related updates.
  • Partner with HR team members to ensure payroll information is complete, accurate, and properly documented.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, reporting, and administrative workflows.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee pay, personal, and sensitive employment information.
  • Support HR projects and other related administrative initiatives as needed.
