About The Position

EXP Group is looking for a Payroll Coordinator to manage weekly payroll for its warehouse personnel. This role requires precision, discretion, and a working knowledge of payroll systems and compliance requirements. You’ll play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, while also supporting payroll-related inquiries and maintaining up-to-date records.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of payroll experience
  • Familiarity with payroll systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Discretion in handling confidential payroll information.

Nice To Haves

  • multi-state payroll experience is a plus
  • Paychex experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll for hourly employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review and verify timekeeping records; resolve discrepancies and ensure proper approvals.
  • Calculate wages, overtime, and applicable adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Stay informed on payroll legislation changes and apply updates as needed.
  • Maintain employee payroll records, including tax forms and direct deposit details.
  • Generate payroll reports for management, accounting, and audit purposes.
  • Assist with year-end reporting, including W-2s and 1099s.
  • Respond to employee questions related to pay, deductions, and taxes in a timely manner.
  • Support employee understanding of payroll processes and assist with troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments on compensation-related matters.
