About The Position

Payroll / Human Resources / Safety Coordinator While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office setting. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with flexibility to meet tight deadlines. Company Profile: Loveland Excavating & Paving is a leader in site development, concrete and paving. Seeking a Payroll & Human Resources Coordinator to work on-site with our accounting team. Looking for a fast-paced environment, have a growth mindset, this is the position for you. Required Education: Bachelor's Degree Required Experience: Minimum 3 Years in Human Resources or Accounting. Experience completing the payroll process, prevailing wage is a plus. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll for 60+ employees with accurate prevailing wages rates and equipment / job costing.
  • Timely & accurately complete and send weekly certified payroll reports by job.
  • Process all new hire paperwork and manage employee files.
  • Ensure new & current employee benefits are accurately setup with third party administrators and accurately deducted in accounting software thru payroll.
  • Manage employee vacations/sick days for Handbook compliance.
  • Work with outside Human Resources Attorney on legal matters and Employee Handbook updates.
  • Coordinate Company Vehicles & Approved Drivers, while managing Drug Testing Program.
  • Ensure company policies are followed for qualified drivers.
  • Oversee DOT compliance for Class A CDL drivers and oversee quarterly random drug tests (DOT and Non-DOT).
  • Oversee Workers Compensation, manage claims with outside source (Matrix).
  • Represent the Company at BWC hearings, be proactive with Employees through accident training and oversee compliance.
  • Comply with Employment Law & other legal responsibilities -- Federal, State, and Local laws, Discrimination, FMLA, FLSA, HIPPA, and new hire reporting requirements
  • Manage employee PEX Cards & WEX Cards (Fuel & Credit Cards)
  • Update and maintain company cell phones and desk phones.
  • Manage Company safety policy, OSHA 300 Log.
  • Maintain an OSHA compliant safety program, ensure field employees follow OSHA rules and regulations, maintain safety handbook and see that employees receive handbook.
  • Develop site specific safety plans for projects where required.
  • Manage and distribute “Toolbox Talks” and enforce disciplinary actions for non-compliance with safety policy.
  • Maintain safety inventory, coordinate and schedule annual safety training, while working with the VP of Operations & VP of Concrete.
  • Represent the Company at outside safety events.
  • Oversee primary communications with Recruits and Employees.
  • Create and manage job postings, employment ads – screen potential interview candidates, schedule & coordinate interviews.
  • Create and manage employment offers, terminations, discipline & notice letters, Annual Performance Reviews and COBRA letters.
  • Handle employee complaints and/or feedback, conduct exit interviews
  • Plan, implement, and coordinate employee events.
