About The Position

MileOne Autogroup is immediately hiring an experienced HR Payroll Administrator professional to join a high volume, multi-state Payroll and HR team, supporting a Mid-Atlantic automotive organization located in Towson, MD. This position is onsite/in-office at their corporate office in Towson, MD. The HR Payroll Administrator will execute payroll transactions across multiple regions and assist in accurate and timely processing of the full range of payroll services. The role requires high attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to multi-task in a team environment. The administrator will perform a variety of reporting, auditing, and administrative activities within the Workday HRIS. MileOne Autogroup represents 73 franchises with 25 automotive brands and operates 56 service centers across multiple states, making it the largest automotive sales and service network in the region. Requirements

  • 2+ years payroll experience in mid-to-large company
  • Strong Excel experience is a must, including the ability to perform pivots, V-lookups and other basic functions

Nice To Haves

  • Multi-state payroll knowledge
  • 2+ years of Workday system or related workforce management experience
  • Experience working in a retail organization

Responsibilities

  • Process biweekly and monthly payrolls in Workday system
  • Analyze, verify and input payroll data
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State wage and hour laws
  • Audit and administration of PTO, compensation, garnishments, benefits, ensuring all information is processed accurately and timely
  • Calculate and process adjustments to pay
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information, which may include General Ledger (GL) discrepancies
  • Create complex monthly reports using Workday and Excel to provide payroll data to auditors, vendors, and other support functions
  • Work with HR team members to execute tasks related to timely reporting, terminations, new hires, promotions, annual Open Enrollment and other related HR functions
  • Provide excellent customer service and problem resolution to employees, in a friendly and professional manner
  • Comfortability and willingness to engage in effective communication with divisional leaders and other members of management in the field
