About The Position

BFV Shared Services provides HR, IT, and Accounting support to a variety of companies under the Black Forest Ventures umbrella. We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator at our office in The Woodlands. This position process payroll for nine different companies (over 600 employees).

Requirements

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
2 – 3 years payroll experience with multi-state experience a plus.
Must be highly organized, have the ability to set priorities and meet strict deadlines.
Work with minimal supervision and have the ability to proactively resolve issues.
Clear written and verbal communication with employees, managers, Human Resources, and Accounting.
Proficient in MS Office especially Excel

Nice To Haves

Fluent in Spanish and English is highly preferred.
knowledge/experience of Paycom software is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Processing accurate and timely payroll from pre-payroll review through final submission
Reviewing earnings, deductions, taxes, direct deposits, and payroll changes
Reconciling payroll totals and resolving discrepancies
Maintaining payroll records
Responding to employee payroll questions
Timecard edits when needed
Paid Time Off entries / review
Wage garnishment review
Onboarding & off boarding of employees
Responding to Employment Verifications
Complying with applicable federal, state, and local payroll requirements
Assisting with payroll tax filings, year-end processing, and employee tax forms
Supporting audits and reporting requests
Protecting confidential employee and payroll information
