About The Position

The Toast Payments Pricing & Operations team plays a pivotal role in the financial success of Toast by determining competitive and transparent payments pricing strategies for our largest customers. Collaborating closely with sales, product and finance, the team is responsible for ensuring decisions align with overall business objectives and provides data-driven insights to refine Toast’s pricing strategy in a constantly evolving landscape. The Payments Pricing & Operations Manager will help scale and manage the Payments Operations team. Responsibilities include strategic deal pricing and consulting, sales enablement, key initiative execution, team management and process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 6+ years of experience in the Payments industry (e.g., Relationship Management, Pricing, Analytics, or related fields)
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to confidently navigate payments pricing conversations with both prospective and existing customers via email and Zoom
  • Deep financial and analytical capabilities
  • Metric driven and operationally minded
  • Must have experience directly managing a team, including responsibility for performance reviews, hiring, and professional development

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce and SQL are a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of analysts responsible for custom payments pricing analyses, operations and project management
  • Lead key prospect and customer negotiations in partnership with Sales and Customer Success teams
  • Deliver a best-in-class payments experience to Toast customers and prospects through successful communication and SLA accountability
  • Become a subject matter expert regarding Toast’s payment solutions, deeply understand the payments value proposition, and how Toast Payments specifically meets customer needs
  • Understand all of Toast Payments’s processes and procedures, constantly improving them to gain greater efficiency and accuracy
  • Report and analyze on our customer base to identify trends and help drive future recommendations
  • Serve as an escalation and enablement point as needed for Sales, Customer Success and R&D
