About The Position

The Payment Services Specialist I is responsible for performing a variety of duties in the Payment Services department, including processing incoming and outgoing ACH and/or wire transactions. This role requires a basic understanding of Federal Regulations governing Wire Transfer or ACH transactions and knowledge of fraud and anti-money laundering regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, or equivalent, required.
• 1-2 years’ bank operations experience in ACH or wires, or 2-3 years’ experience in retail banking or financial institution customer service, or 3-5 years’ similar work experience, required.
• Meticulous data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience using office equipment and software programs, such as Microsoft Office, and financial services databases.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work with detailed information in an efficient and accurate manner, while meeting established deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Jack Henry Products, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes high volumes of incoming and outgoing ACH or wire transactions.
• Corresponds with Bank personnel to ensure that escalated customer inquiries and issues are researched and addressed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provides customer support to both internal and external partners and assists in handling customer support issues.
• Exhibits basic understanding of the Federal Regulations that govern Wire Transfer or ACH transactions and required timeframes for end-of-day borrowing and balancing.
• Exhibits basic working knowledge of fraud and anti-money laundering regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
