About The Position

At UnitedHealthcare, the Payment Appendix Manager supports provider network programs, including clinically integrated networks focused on clinical areas such as oncology and cardiology. The role involves analyzing network data, helping develop network strategies, driving program design and implementation, and recommending network use or expansion to improve quality and affordability. Work is generally self-directed, includes complex and less-structured issues, and serves as a resource to others. The position is remote within the United States.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in claims processing, provider data maintenance, contracting, or contract loading.
At least 5 years of experience with claims systems.
At least 3 years of experience with contract submission, validation, and maintenance.
Demonstrated solid knowledge of business processes that impact facility/ancillary contract loading and auditing.
Demonstrated proficiency with facility/ancillary contract reimbursement methodologies.

Responsibilities

Help develop enterprise-wide Clinically Integrated Network teams focused on specific clinical areas or service lines, such as oncology or cardiology.
Perform network analysis and develop and implement network strategies.
Drive program design and implementation to improve quality and affordability through improvements in appropriateness and effectiveness.
Obtain, validate, and analyze data; analyze network availability and access.
Recommend utilization or expansion of networks for various products.
Serve as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues.
