About The Position

This role is part of Blue National Security (BNS), which designs, develops, and delivers launch and spacecraft systems for national security missions. The Payload Integration Engineer II works across the Payload Accommodation subsystem to support integrated solutions and serves as a customer-facing technical advocate for one or more payloads throughout their lifecycle, from contract execution through payload integration and launch. The position applies customer management skills and systems engineering practices across technical subject areas. It supports requirements analysis and traceability, functional and systems analysis, safety analysis, technical performance monitoring, specialty engineering strategies—including operability, reliability, maintainability, and supportability—and system product lifecycle processes. The engineer also helps develop systems engineering processes and tools, encourages consistent implementation, and works with multidisciplinary teams to develop technical system solutions. The role is based in a hardware-rich prototyping environment and includes travel of up to 15%. Relocation is provided.
