About The Position

WQS Non-Destructive Testing (WQS NDT) is recruiting experienced, proficient, PAUT Technicians for Fall 2026 Turnaround and Call-out scopes. These opportunities are available in both Central Alberta and Northern Alberta. Successful candidates may have the opportunity to join their local WQS NDT Call-Out team afterwards. The anticipated schedule is 6 days on, 1 day off, with 12-hour shifts, running from August 27 to October 1, 2026. The site locations are Fort McMurray or Edmonton, AB. The rate is applicable QCCC Rates plus an Additional Turnaround Uplift. Turnaround employees will be entered in a draw for an opportunity to win a new car. Day shift and night shift may be required. Performance Demonstration Qualification will be required. Local to Edmonton is preferred, but flights are available on a project basis.

Requirements

• PAUT Certified – level 2 or level 3 preferred (BINDT, CSWIP, CGSB).
• Minimum three (3) years Phased Array experience.
• Must be Fit for Duty at all times.
• Valid driver's license with a 3-year driver abstract.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Demonstrate high standards of safety and align with best-in-class company culture.

Nice To Haves

• Additional Surface inspection certifications (PT, MT, XRF).
• First Aid Certification.
• Confined Space Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform Non-Destructive Testing procedures.
• Utilize Phased Array technology.
• Conduct Surface inspections (PT, MT, XRF).
• Maintain a high standard of safety.
• Comply with the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace, including alcohol and drug testing.
