About The Position

Provides safe, timely, and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items to their destinations so physicians, nurses, technicians, and therapists can perform their duties effectively. The role promotes positive patient and customer satisfaction, proper use of body mechanics, and adherence to policies and procedures. The schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., consisting of two weekday shifts and every other weekend, totaling 24 hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association, or successful completion within 90 days of hire.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to solve problems and operate under potentially stressful or emergency situations.
• Excellent judgment in assessing potentially unsafe conditions for patients and self.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from designated areas using proper equipment.
• Assist patients in and out of vehicles and ensure their safety during transport.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of transport vehicles.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition during transport.
• Follow established safety protocols and infection control procedures.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and patients.
