About The Position

Palo Verde Behavioral Health is seeking a Patient Transporter for our Outpatient Department. The Patient Transporter for Outpatient Services will be scheduled to work Monday-Friday from 9:00a-5:30p. The Patient Transporter for Outpatient Services drives patients to and from the program at our facility, safely and punctually. This individual conducts basic automotive maintenance, including fueling vehicles, checking and maintaining routine fluid levels, and maintaining proper tire inflation. In between transportation to and from programs, the transporter may assist with patient activities. In addition to these primary transportation functions, the individual also supports the clinic with patient scheduling, chart organization and filing, front desk coverage, patient outreach, and other duties as assigned. Palo Verde Behavioral Health (PVBH) is an 84-bed private psychiatric facility providing inpatient and intensive outpatient psychiatric services through treatment programs tailored to our patients needs for the purpose of creating positive outcomes. PVBH will build on the excellent skills of our current Psychiatrists, licensed registered nurses, clinical social workers and licensed professional counselors to support these programs.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Must have 3-5 years of driving experience.
  • Must have a valid AZ driver's license clear of any violations within the previous 5 years.
  • Clean driving record as obtained from the Department of Public Safety.
  • CPR and Handle with Care training.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an AZ Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
