About The Position

Join UT Health Tyler as a day-shift, PRN Patient Transporter in Tyler, Texas. UT Health Tyler is the system’s flagship hospital, serving hundreds of thousands of people annually. The hospital specializes in advanced acute care and includes a Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, the region’s only EMCO program, and a Level III NICU. Its medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

The Patient Transporter moves patients throughout the hospital, including to Radiology, and helps with patient transfers and the upkeep of transport equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Intravenous Admixture Certification Course through an approved ACPE provider.
• Texas registration.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients from all hospital floors and areas to Radiology.
• Process films and make copies when needed.
• Clean and stock wheelchairs and carts with appropriate supplies.
• Help transfer patients to and from beds, tables, and carts.
• Transport patients of all ages, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
