About The Position
A Patient Transporter supports patient mobility within a healthcare facility. The role safely transports patients to various locations, assists with mobility needs, and operates transport equipment carefully. It also involves communicating with medical staff to support timely patient movement, maintaining transport logs, reporting issues or delays, and helping transfer patients to beds, wheelchairs, or medical equipment as needed. The position is 24 hours per week, with scheduled hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every other weekend. The minimum hiring wage starts at $18.89 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification from the American Heart Association within 180 days.
- Skills in patient transport, mobility assistance, healthcare communication, equipment handling, time management, attention to detail, safety practices, log maintenance, patient care, and interpersonal communication.
