About The Position

At North Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center, the Patient Transportation Driver provides safe and comfortable transportation for residents to medical appointments, social activities, and other outings. The role involves maintaining accurate trip and resident records, coordinating with the care team, and following transportation policies and procedures. Drivers use company vehicles and provide customer service to residents and their families.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Ability to work varying schedules, including days, evenings, and weekends.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it.
Prior experience in a healthcare or transportation setting.

Responsibilities

Safely drive company vehicles to transport residents to medical appointments, social activities, and other outings.
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
Maintain accurate transportation records, including resident information and any incidents.
Communicate and coordinate with the care team and other staff members.
Provide customer service to residents and their families.
Follow driving and transportation policies and procedures.
Ensure residents’ comfort and safety during transportation.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
