Patient Transport/Lift Team Specialist
About The Position
The Patient Transport & Lift Team Specialist performs patient transports, transfers, lifts, and repositions using appropriate patient lifting equipment and safe patient handling policies and procedures. The specialist picks up and delivers inpatients and patient care items between patient care units and other ancillary departments, demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate patient care. The role is responsible for maintaining and inventorying patient lifting equipment and maintaining the hygiene of slings and lifting and transportation equipment on each unit. The specialist may assist with employee education and training on patient lifting equipment and transfer techniques when indicated.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic understanding of communication equipment such as pagers, phones, and computers.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS-CPR.
Responsibilities
