About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Patient Services Specialist in our Gastroenterology East Clinic in Northeast Portland. This role focuses on providing a consistent, efficient, and easy experience for patients and stakeholders, ensuring they receive high-value care. The position involves scheduling appointments, handling insurance information, answering phones, and providing coverage for medical records and front desk teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of work experience, preferably in a medical office.
• Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
• Familiarity with insurance and referral processes.
• Excellent attendance and work ethic.
• Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians and other team members.
• A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

• Specialty care GI experience is a plus!
• Epic experience is a super plus!

Responsibilities

• Scheduling appointments for new and established patients efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Obtaining and completing insurance information.
• Answering phones.
• Providing coverage for medical records and front desk teams.
• Updating records as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
