About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Patient Services Specialist in our Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine West Clinic. This role is phone-based and focuses on providing excellent customer service and communication skills to ensure patients receive high-value care. Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is required.
  • Familiarity with insurance and referral processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
  • Excellent attendance and work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one (1) year of previous medical front office experience is strongly preferred.
  • Specialty care experience is a strong plus!
  • Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience in complex healthcare referral processes is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Processing incoming referrals and electronic fax submissions.
  • Managing check-in and check-out for new and established patients.
  • Scheduling and rescheduling patient surgeries and/or appointments according to office protocols and physician requests.
  • Obtaining and completing insurance and patient demographic information.
  • Answering phones on a multi-line system.
  • Updating registration and EMR records.
  • Providing PSS float coverage for all TOC Creekside Specialty Clinics (CAS, WSS, Orthopedics, Cardiology & Pulmonary) as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
