About The Position

Harborview Radiology Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Patient Services Specialist (job profile: Patient Services Specialist 3). This is a full-time position working Mondays-Fridays from 12:30pm-9:00pm. The Patient Services Specialist will focus on scheduling patients with an emphasis on safety and reducing medical errors, participate in process improvement projects, audit online tickets for accuracy, and act as a subject matter expert for the department's scheduling model. They will troubleshoot Epic errors, assist with training new staff, and support the team lead in daily operational goals, all while maintaining a patient-first mentality.

Requirements

High school graduation or equivalent
Two years Patient Services Specialist 2 experience OR equivalent combination of education/experience
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration

Responsibilities

Schedule patients focusing on patient safety and reducing the likelihood of medical health errors
Participate in process improvement projects
Audit online tickets, scheduling appointments for accuracy of order placement, referral completion and resource selection
Act as a subject expert for the department scheduling model, think critically, and troubleshoot Epic errors for the team
Function proficiently within the team to assist with training of new staff and act as go team resource
Support team Lead in day-to-day operational goals
Respond to patient's need and concerns as appropriate maintaining Patient First mentality
