About The Position

Patriot Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Services Representative (PSR) for its urgent care clinics. The role provides excellent customer service to patients and clerical support to clinical staff, serving as patients’ first point of contact. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of reception or front-desk experience, such as coordinator, receptionist, clerk, agent, or specialist experience.
Ability to work shifts of up to 12 hours during the week or on weekends as needed.
Ability to escort or transport patients by wheelchair or stretcher when needed.
Detail-oriented, with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records.
Typing speed of 25 words per minute.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience in a healthcare outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors promptly and helpfully in the waiting area.
Check in patients, verify insurance, update patient information in the system, and collect copayments.
Advocate for patients and coordinate their care with clinical staff and providers.
Answer incoming phone calls promptly.
Maintain a neat and orderly waiting room.
Assist patients with mobility difficulties, including obtaining wheelchairs and helping them walk.
Complete clinic opening and closing procedures and reporting.
Perform additional clerical duties as needed.
