About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is seeking a Patient Services Manager to lead the Patient Services Team in an acute care setting. The manager establishes goals and oversees patient food service implementation based on medical direction and patient population, while ensuring patient food preferences are accommodated within prescribed dietary restrictions. The role also oversees staff development, patient satisfaction efforts, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement activities.

Requirements

Associate degree and one year of work experience in food services or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree in food service technology/management or a related field.
Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office applications, an electronic medical record, and diet office systems.

Nice To Haves

Certified Dietary Manager certificate, Registered Diet Technician credential, or Registered Dietitian credential.
At least one year of food service management experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
ServSafe certification.

Responsibilities

Establish goals and oversee implementation of patient food services based on medical direction and the patient population.
Hire, direct, coach, train, and develop patient service team members.
Ensure dietary restrictions for special or modified diets are followed while meeting patient food preferences within diet order limitations.
Ensure patient services staff contribute to patient satisfaction goals.
Comply with federal, state, and accrediting agency regulations, facility confidentiality requirements, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies.
Participate in or lead patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility-wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.
