About The Position
Urban Infraconstruction is seeking a Field Engineer to join its Heavy Civil department in Laredo, Texas. The company delivers civil construction and infrastructure projects and describes its environment as fast-paced and growth-focused, with an emphasis on innovation, precision, collaboration, integrity, quality, and accountability. The Field Engineer supports daily field operations and project delivery on heavy civil projects, working with superintendents, field crews, subcontractors, project engineers, and the project team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in the heavy civil construction industry.
- Knowledge of heavy civil operations such as utilities, earthwork, concrete, and road construction.
- Proficiency in BlueBeam and MS Excel.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Assist superintendents and the project team with daily field operations on heavy civil projects.
- Support field crews by interpreting plans, specifications, and project documents.
- Assist with work planning, sequencing, and daily coordination with subcontractors.
- Conduct field inspections to check compliance with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
- Maintain daily reports, logs, as-builts, and other project documentation.
- Support project engineers and the project team with safety-related duties to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
