About The Position
The Patient Service Representative (PSR) is a non-exempt medical office position responsible for front office processes in a physician practice at Abrazo Union Hills in Glendale, Arizona. The role supports patients throughout check-in and check-out, manages office communications and appointment scheduling, maintains patient and insurance information in the electronic system, and assists with billing-related processes, referrals, and patient portal enrollment. A $500 sign-on bonus is available to new hires only.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of customer service experience.

- Customer service experience in a hospital or physician office setting.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to and support the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources, including the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and Corporate Compliance Program.
- Greet patients entering the practice.
- Manage office communications, including answering phones and making, confirming, and rescheduling patient appointments.
- Check in patients, collect accurate patient demographics, verify insurance, and enter data into the electronic system.
- Check out patients and assist them with referral processing and scheduling.
- Collect co-pays and post charges.
- Process charge entry and patient balances.
- Distribute information to patients regarding office policies, procedures, and practice information.
- Explain the patient portal and assist with patient enrollment.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
