About The Position
Patient Service Representatives are the first point of contact for patients, family members, and caregivers visiting Franciscan Physician Network offices. The role represents the network by communicating information, direction, and support to patients and customers. It collaborates with providers, management, and clinical staff to coordinate patient schedules and provide administrative support. The position also involves compassionately discussing copayments, prepayments, and outstanding balances with patients. This is a full-time role with Beech Grove Family Medicine, scheduled Monday through Friday on a consistent day shift, with observed holidays off work. Travel is required never or rarely.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries.
- Schedule appointments or direct callers to appropriate staff for assistance.
- Work within an electronic medical records system.
- Collect patient payments and apply payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
- Balance daily encounter forms and cash drawers.
- Complete additional daily administrative tasks based on the practice specialty.
- Coordinate patient schedules with providers, management, and clinical staff.
- Communicate with patients about copayments, prepayments, and outstanding balances.
