About The Position
The Patient Service Representative II (PSR II) provides clerical and administrative support in licensed clinics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, following established practices, policies, and guidelines. The role handles a high volume of patient coordination and complex scheduling, is cross-trained to support multiple providers, and serves as a resource.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of experience working with insurance companies and obtaining authorizations.
Responsibilities
- Answer and triage calls, directing them to appropriate individuals or departments.
- Schedule appointments, surgeries, and ancillary services and obtain required authorizations.
- Perform insurance verification.
- Process and track incoming and outgoing referrals.
- Sort and distribute mail and patient information in compliance with HIPAA rules and regulations and Cedars-Sinai standards.
- Assist with all work assignments.
