Additionally, they ensure compliance with government regulations such as HIPAA, EMTALA, and others, obtaining required signatures. Responsibilities may include scheduling appointments, coordinating cancellations and reschedules, and providing detailed information about test preparations and facility procedures. The position also focuses on creating a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service, answering phones, screening calls, and offering assistance to patients, including arranging transportation and coordinating interpreter services. The representative will also monitor and work assigned electronic health record work queues.
