This includes obtaining and verifying demographic, guarantor, and insurance information, as well as collecting co-pays and other patient financial responsibilities. The position requires maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, understanding insurance basics, and discussing financial obligations with patients. It also involves coordinating appointments, providing detailed patient information, and creating a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service. The role includes answering telephones, monitoring work queues, and assisting patients with various needs such as transportation and interpreter services.
