This is a full-time, 40-hour position for a Patient Service Representative I in the Enterprise Revenue Cycle department at Cabarrus NC Arrival Rehabilitation Services Imaging and Cardiac Rehab. The primary hours are Monday-Friday 10:00 am-6:30 pm, with flexibility needed for urgent coverage between 6:45 am-6:30 pm. The role involves creating the initial electronic health record, preventing duplicate records, ensuring patient safety through positive identification, registering patients, collecting co-pays, maintaining patient confidentiality, understanding insurance basics, and referring patients to Financial Advocates. The position also requires knowledge of compliance regulations such as HIPAA, EMTALA, and others, obtaining necessary signatures, potentially scheduling appointments, and providing detailed information to patients regarding preparations and procedures. A key aspect of the role is creating a welcoming and professional environment through extraordinary customer service, greeting patients and visitors, answering telephones, and offering assistance with transportation, directions, wheelchairs, and interpreter services. The representative will also monitor and work assigned electronic health record work queues.
