About The Position

This role is for a Patient Service Representative in a clinic setting, specifically within the Cardiac specialty at Saint Thomas Heart Midtown in Nashville, TN. The position is full-time, working days. The representative will be responsible for championing the patient experience by providing a warm welcome, guiding patients through check-in/out, and ensuring accurate records. They will also navigate the care journey by managing schedules, confirming appointments, and handling medical record requests. Financial clarity will be provided by verifying insurance authorizations and precertifications, and assisting with co-payments and billing questions. The role also ensures accuracy and flow by submitting daily service charges, reconciling deposits, and providing essential clerical support.

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, professional welcome for every visitor, guiding them through the check-in/out process and ensuring their records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Proactively manage schedules, confirm appointments, and handle medical record requests.
• Assist patients by verifying insurance authorizations and precertifications ahead of time, then help them navigate co-payments and billing questions.
• Submit daily service charges, reconcile deposits, and provide essential clerical support.
