The Patient Scheduling Specialist will be responsible for scheduling multiple appointments and exams for patients within the Hematology/Oncology Clinic. The specialist will also contact patients to reschedule appointments or exams, prioritize appointments based on patient needs, facilitate insurance verification and benefits, identify and report scheduling problems to a supervisor, and collaborate with physicians on scheduling conflicts. Additionally, they will monitor patient waiting areas for timeliness and issues, notifying nursing staff of any problems or delays.
