About The Position

Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art, continually growing healthcare organization. The Patient Safety Tech provides sitter and health care services to patients who are suicidal, at risk of falling, unable to call for assistance, whose actions may put other patients at risk, or who may harm themselves, such as by pulling invasive lines or tubes. The role floats between various locations as assigned. The scheduled hours are 1845–0715.

Requirements

• Current Georgia CNA license.
• At least one year of related experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to follow oral instructions.
• Ability to work without close supervision.
• Ability to follow written instructions.
• BLS certification required.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training for volatile patients; may be obtained after hire during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide sitter and health care services to patients who are suicidal or at risk of falling.
• Monitor patients who are unable to call for assistance or whose actions may put themselves or others at risk.
• Support patients who may harm themselves, including by pulling invasive lines or tubes.
• Float between various locations as assigned.
