About The Position

Northside Hospital is seeking a Patient Safety Tech for the Gwinnett Float Pool. The role provides sitter and health care services to patients who are suicidal, at risk of falling, unable to call for assistance, whose actions may put other patients at risk, or who may harm themselves, such as by pulling invasive lines or tubes. The position floats between various locations as assigned.

Requirements

• Current Georgia CNA license.
• A minimum of one year of related experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to follow oral instructions.
• Ability to work without close supervision.
• Ability to follow written instructions.
• BLS required.

Nice To Haves

• Crisis prevention intervention (CPI) training for volatile patients; this may be obtained after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide sitter and health care services to patients who are suicidal or at risk of falling.
• Monitor patients who are unable to call for assistance or whose actions may put themselves or other patients at risk.
• Float between various locations as assigned.
