About The Position

The Patient Safety Tech provides sitter and health care services to patients who are suicidal, at risk of falling, unable to call for assistance, whose actions may endanger other patients, or who may harm themselves, such as by pulling invasive lines or tubes. The role floats between various locations as assigned. This position is in the Forsyth Float Pool and works days, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Requirements

• Current Georgia CNA license.
• At least one year of related experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to follow oral instructions.
• Ability to work without close supervision.
• Ability to follow written instructions.
• BLS certification required.
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training for volatile patients; may be obtained after hire during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide sitter and health care services to patients who are suicidal or at risk of falling.
• Monitor patients who are unable to call for assistance or whose actions could put other patients at risk.
• Monitor patients at risk of harming themselves, including by pulling invasive lines or tubes.
• Float between various locations as assigned.
