As a Patient Resource Tech, you will provide essential support across various patient care and hospital operations, directly contributing to patient safety, comfort, and operational efficiency. You will rotate through multifaceted roles, including patient sitter, transportation aide, and hospital entry screener, showcasing your adaptability and commitment to a seamless patient experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current BLS-CPR certification upon hire
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions clearly
  • Strong technical proficiency in obtaining, recording, and reporting vital signs accurately

  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting

Responsibilities

  • Act as a patient sitter, providing 24-hour visual observation and prompt response to patient needs and requests, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Safely transport patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital, ensuring efficient movement and accurate tracking of assignments.
  • Remain present with patient and have visual observation at all times.
  • Remove all personal items.
  • Place patient in red gown.
  • Adhere to Sitter Guidelines and Standards of Care for patient care populations served.
  • Communicate and report all behavior changes to the nurse.
