About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the Oregon Regional Transfer Center works as part of a multifunctional team supporting evaluation, consultation, and patient transfers for any of the eight Providence Oregon hospitals. The Transfer Center Nurse facilitates requests for physician consultations and telemedicine, coordinates timely transfers between facilities, supports accurate and efficient patient placement within each hospital, and coordinates transportation. The role is part of Providence Oregon Regional Shared Services and supports Providence’s patient-focused, whole-person care approach.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- Two years of experience in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate requests for physician consultations.
- Facilitate telemedicine requests.
- Coordinate timely patient transfers between facilities.
- Support accurate and efficient patient placement within each hospital.
- Coordinate patient transportation.
