About The Position
The Patient Observer maintains a safe environment and documents observations on the Special Observation Record in accordance with the patient’s age, growth and development, and orders. The role collaborates with the RN regarding relevant aspects of care the observer is expected to perform and participates in education and development. The position is per diem.
Requirements
- Maturity to maintain confidentiality and conduct oneself professionally with sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy.
- Excellent observation skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain human relation skills.
- Maintain a safe environment.
- Document observations on the Special Observation Record as appropriate to age, growth and development, and orders.
- Collaborate with the RN regarding pertinent aspects of care the observer is expected to perform.
- Participate in education and development.
