About The Position
This role involves providing observation and surveillance of assigned patients using video monitors and a 2-way audio device. The Patient Monitor will communicate with patients, notify clinical staff of any changes in patient condition or safety risks, and complete documentation of patient activities and behaviors.
Requirements
- High school diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
Responsibilities
- Provide observation and surveillance of assigned patients.
- Monitor patients by use of video monitors.
- Communicate and/or instruct patients by use of 2-way audio device.
- Notify clinical staff of any changes in patient condition and/or safety risk level.
- Complete documentation of observations of patient activities, patient behaviors and other safety & comfort related issues.
