This specific role involves leading the Patient Food Services team in a 700-bed hospital that serves acute, children's, and behavioral health populations.

Requirements

Associate degree with 2-5 years of experience in food services or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree in food service management, nutrition, or a related field
At least 2-5 years of food service management experience, preferably in an acute care setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, and diet office systems

Nice To Haves

Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Registered Diet Technician (DTR), or Registered Dietitian (RD) preferred
ServSafe® certification preferred

Responsibilities

Develop and implement patient food service programs based on medical direction and the needs of the patient population
Recruit, train, coach, and develop patient services team members
Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions and modified diets while meeting patient preferences within prescribed guidelines
Support and drive achievement of patient satisfaction goals
Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies, while adhering to HIPAA, confidentiality, and patient rights policies
Participate in and lead patient satisfaction initiatives, departmental meetings, and facility-wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs
