This specific role involves leading the Patient Food Services team in a 700-bed hospital that serves acute, children's, and behavioral health populations.

Requirements

  • Associate degree with 2-5 years of experience in food services or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree in food service management, nutrition, or a related field
  • At least 2-5 years of food service management experience, preferably in an acute care setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, and diet office systems

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Registered Diet Technician (DTR), or Registered Dietitian (RD) preferred
  • ServSafe® certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement patient food service programs based on medical direction and the needs of the patient population
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop patient services team members
  • Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions and modified diets while meeting patient preferences within prescribed guidelines
  • Support and drive achievement of patient satisfaction goals
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies, while adhering to HIPAA, confidentiality, and patient rights policies
  • Participate in and lead patient satisfaction initiatives, departmental meetings, and facility-wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs
