About The Position
The Patient Food Services Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the patient food services department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and food services administrative support. This role involves supervising staff, resolving patient concerns, coordinating with clinical teams, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Requirements
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and patient care standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the patient services team.
- Ensure smooth patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Monitor patient satisfaction and implement service improvements.
- Hire, train, and evaluate patient services staff.
- Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing coaching.
- Develop staff schedules and manage coverage for all shifts.
- Address and resolve patient complaints and concerns promptly.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and hospital departments.
- Promote a patient-centered culture focused on empathy and responsiveness.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports on patient services.
- Participate in audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to coordinate care.
- Support strategic initiatives to enhance patient experience.
- Participate in cross-functional committees and improvement projects.
