About The Position

The Patient Financial Services Representative supports management with billing and collection of accounts receivable for inpatient and outpatient accounts, cash application and reconciliation, and resolution of customer service issues. Responsibilities may also include notifying patients or guarantors of liabilities, verifying insurance benefits, and assisting customers with billing questions.

This is a full-time, day-shift position scheduled from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Morristown, New Jersey.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, healthcare management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a customer service call center or a relevant area.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls about billing inquiries for all facilities.
• Ensure insurance information is entered properly on accounts.
• Process credit card payments.
• Complete customer service forms for various customer service requests.
• Complete the weekly backlog.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Support billing and collection of inpatient and outpatient accounts, cash application and reconciliation, and resolution of customer service issues.
• Notify patients or guarantors of liabilities, verify insurance benefits, and assist customers with billing questions as needed.
