About The Position

The Housekeeper keeps the community clean and safe for residents, families, associates, and visitors. The role includes cleaning resident apartments and common areas, handling residents’ personal laundry, and washing bed linens and towels. The Housekeeper responds to requests and housekeeping concerns, follows safety and chemical-handling procedures, communicates with supervisors and associates, and provides an outstanding customer experience for residents and visitors. The position is full-time, with a 9 a.m.–5 p.m. or 10 a.m.–6 p.m. shift, in Twinsburg, Ohio.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to bend, reach, and work in small areas.
Able to push and pull equipment and lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned resident apartments, including bathrooms and kitchen areas.
Dust surfaces while taking care of residents’ belongings; vacuum exposed areas and wash the inside of windows.
Clean common areas such as halls, landings, stairs, activity areas, lobbies, elevators, and model apartments.
Clean vacant apartments as assigned and maintain the cleanliness of public restrooms.
Keep housekeeping and laundry carts maintained and ensure chemicals are properly secured.
Wash and dry laundry, including residents’ personal laundry, using appropriate products.
Respond to requests and address housekeeping-related concerns.
Complete monthly in-service education hours as required by state regulations and company policies.
Follow emergency procedures for chemical misuse, handle bio-hazardous waste properly, store chemicals according to procedures, and use safe cleaning practices.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and associates, and advise supervisors when supplies need to be ordered or concerns arise.
Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor or department head.
